JYŌSHU

JYŌSHU’s work is filled with the earnest, genuine energy of an artist with something to prove - not only to his lovers but his listeners too. He’s also just a sucker for a good melody and a catchy hook. Based in Sydney, his influences range across genres from Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World & Paramore, right through to Tegan and Sara, Rufus Du Sol & Chvrches. His first album Sometimes Fires Don’t Go Out When You’re Done Playing With Them is a synth-pop-heavy, punk-inspired sonic journey through every stage of a relationship. From trepidation to ecstasy, he shares his experiences in a way that will resonate with many.
